The course will equip for trainee basic knowledge about 3D data structure: TIN, Grid. How to create, manipulate and edit 3D model by ArcGIS 3D Analyst. Main contents of course include: create 3D model, spatial analysis by 3D model, display 3D model and query information from 3D model by ArcGIS 3D Analyst. LearnerThe course is trained for people, who belong to different specialists in connection with Earth science, pleased to use ArcGIS 3D Analyst functions to study, analyze in 3D integration environment.
Skill achievements - TIN, Grid data model
- Create TIN from different data sources
- Convert TIN data to Grid, create TIN from Grid
- Calculate area, volume by 3D model
- Present and display 3D model
- Spatial analysis by 3D model

Main lessons - Introduction: TIN, Grid concept; Interface; TIN and Grid comparison
- TIN model: create TIN model from Z value dataset; Display TIN model
- 3D spatial analysis: surface model; line-of-sight creation; Calculate slope, volume, area ect.
- 2D and 3D relation: Create contour from 3D model, overlay attributes to the 3D model. Analyze surface; Calculate density
- Query from 3D model
- Create AVE file
